Unit for 0 to 3 year Olds

The 0-3s unit consists of four superb rooms which have been specially designed to meet the needs of every child. It has the appropriate equipment for the specific age groups, allowing all children to develop at their own pace.

All staff working in the unit have experience with children of all ages and have relevant training and qualifications.

The Unit provides a range of early learning experiences through heuristic, messy and focused play. The children all follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and staff continually observe and assess the children to monitor their progress and development.

The unit is registered with Ofsted and therefore complies with all Government standards and policies (including staffing ratios) to ensure your child receives the highest level of care. Quotes from recent Ofsted reports can be found in this booklet and a full report is available on request.

Prices for the unit range from £24 per session, £36.50 per day or £170 per week.   These prices are reviewed each September.  The Unit is open all year round* from 8am till 6pm.

 Things you may need to know.....

• On your first visit to the unit you will be asked to identify carers who may pick up your child. 
• If at any time a different person will be collecting your child you MUST inform us prior to collection.   
• Care for the children is continuous throughout the year*. 
• Termly contracts are available for parents with siblings already at St Hilda's.
• You will be invoiced in advance for sessions booked.
• Extra sessions will be added to the next account. 
• During the year, a period of up to 2 weeks can be taken as holidays without payments due.
• Four weeks' notice is required for such holidays to ensure you are credited on your account.
• All other sessions (not Bank Holidays) must be paid for in full.
• Any request for a change in sessions should be applied for in writing and we will do our best to accede to your request.
• A late collection charge of £5 per 15 minutes or part thereof will be applied without exception for all children collected after 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
• Fees are inclusive of all snacks (apart from Formula Baby Milk) and art materials. 
• Parents are asked to provide nappies and creams for their child/children.
• Four weeks' notice is required to terminate your contract with the school.

*In line with the rest of the school the 0-3 years unit will be closed at weekends, Foundation Day, Bank Holidays and some dates at Christmas and the New Year.
