Silcoates School provides a continuous education for boys and girls from seven to eighteen. There are about 200 pupils in the Junior School and 550 in the Senior School.

Sunny Hill House School, just down the road in Wrenthorpe, educates children from three to seven; there is also a nursery department for two- and three-year-olds.

St. Hilda’s School occupying outstanding premises in the old convent at Horbury, educates boys from three and a half to seven and girls from three and half to eleven; there is also a nursery department for children from infancy to three years old.
