Founded in 1982, Sunny Hill House is located in a pleasant, secure late-Georgian building comprising six
teaching rooms, a hall/dining room, a support room/library and staff facilities.
- The Nursery is a spacious, self-contained unit;
- Foundation and Reception classrooms are on the ground floor;
- Key Stage 1 classrooms are on the first floor, where the technology room, library/learning support rooms and administrative offices are also situated.
Activities such as PE, music, drama, dance, games and lunch take place in the school hall, which is equipped with a large climbing frame and other apparatus, providing good facilities for the development of motor skills and hand-eye coordination. This is also where the school community meets each morning for assembly.
Outdoor playing facilities include a fenced playground and a fenced soft play area surrounded by lawn where the younger pupils can ride toys and play. We have the added advantage of being able to use the sporting facilities at nearby Silcoates School, including the heated swimming pool.
